has created over 150 film title sequences, and has been credited with "almost single-handedly revitalizing the main-title sequence as an art form". He is the founder of two internationally recognized film design companies, Imaginary Forces and Prologue Films.
Cooper earned a M.F.A. in Graphic Design from the Yale School of Art, where he studied independently with Paul Rand. Cooper is a member of the Alliance Graphique Internationale and holds the honorary title of Royal Designer for Industry from the Royal Society of Arts in London.
His work includes the opening credit sequences of Se7en, Arlington Road, The Island of Dr. Moreau, Flubber, The Mummy, Zoolander, Spider-Man, Spider-Man 2, Superman Returns, Across the Universe, The Incredible Hulk, Tropic Thunder, Ninja Assassin and the video games Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty and Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater. His work in the credits field is often compared to that of Saul Bass.
